How We Deliver Aerospace

SB&O's aerospace team supports spacecraft programs across the full flight envelope - from ascent and on-orbit operations through aerocapture, entry, descent, and landing. We deliver trajectory and flight mechanics analyses, GN&C algorithms and flight software, 6DOF simulation, aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic environment characterization, and thermal protection sizing for missions where the analysis has to be right the first time.

Aerodynamic and aerothermal environment characterization across continuum, transitional, and rarefied regimes, including hypersonic reentry and DSMC-based low-density flow analysis.

TPS sizing, ablative material response, thermal modeling through material stacks, and inverse environment reconstruction from flight data for reusable and expendable vehicles.

// Plume & Proximity Operations

Thruster plume environment analysis and impingement heating prediction during rendezvous, docking, and stage separation, including loads on adjacent surfaces and complex geometries.
