Educational Facility
Description
Westview High School occupies a 170-acre site in Poway, featuring a multi-building campus with a gym, auditorium, football stadium, ball fields, tennis courts, a pool, and expansive parking. Its design required moving approximately 1.4 million cubic yards of earth. SB&O led the mass grading design, storm drain work, sewer service connection, and wetlands mitigation/detention facility. The firm also handled right-of-way documents for portions of Camino Ruiz—an adjacent 6-lane major roadway—and participated in civil engineering expert witness testimony for land condemnation aspects. Surveys covered boundary/topographic mapping, utility delineation, and comprehensive construction staking.
