Description
The CalPeak Emergency Peaker, Enterprise #7 facility in Escondido, California, houses a simple-cycle peaking power plant equipped with FT8 Pratt & Whitney Twinpac turbines. This fast-track $30 million project achieved commercial operation in just 55 days to meet urgent energy demands. SB&O’s team provided survey calculations and construction staking on short notice to maintain the critical path schedule. Services included setting rough and finish grades, staking turbine foundations, verifying anchor bolt locations, and laying out site utilities. Topographic surveys were also performed to produce accurate as-built drawings for the client and relevant agencies.
